Course Options and Fees

 

 

Scenic Valley Driving School is Licensed by the State of Wisconsin to provide both Classroom and Behind-the-Wheel Training to adult and teenage students.  We are also licensed to provide Instructor Training for persons who wish to work as a Licensed Driving Instructor.

 

Teenage Students

 

The typical teenage student enrolls in the Complete Course (see description below) as this course meets the requirements of Wisconsin Law for students under the age of 18.  Students who have already taken Classroom Training at their High School or with another Commercial Driving School may be eligible to enroll in our Behind-the-Wheel Course or Refresher Course.  If you are unsure, give us a call.

 

Students may take our course at ANY of our locations, regardless of where they live or go to school.  Once students complete Classroom Training, they can choose another location for Behind-the-Wheel Lessons if it is closer to their home or more convenient for them.

 

Adult Students

 

Adult students typically enroll with us for Private Driving Lessons, but they are eligible to take any of our Courses.  Private Driving Lessons offer maximum flexibility, as there is no set Lesson Plan that we have to follow.  These lessons are private, meaning there is only one student and one instructor in the Training Vehicle.  The skills that are worked on and the type of environment we drive in is up to the student, depending on their experience or special needs.

 

 

 

Complete Drivers Education Course:

 

This course includes 30 hours of classroom instruction and 12 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction.  It satisfies the requirements for a person under the age of 18 to be eligible to try for a driver's license in the State of Wisconsin and is also available to adults.  To be eligible to try for their license at age 16, a teenage student must begin the classroom portion of the course before they reach age 15 1/2. 

 

Cost:

 

Total cost for the Complete Course is $395.00 for students who take BOTH classroom and behind-the-wheel training in Lodi, and $425.00 for students who take either phase of the course at any of our other locations.

Refresher Drivers Education Course:

 

This course includes 10 hours of classroom instruction and 12 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction.  It is available to adults and teenage students who completed classroom training but allowed more than 13 months to pass before starting Behind-the-Wheel Training.

 

Cost:

 

Total cost for the Refresher Course is $375.00 for students who take BOTH classroom and behind-the-wheel training in Lodi, and $405.00 for students who take either phase of the course at  any of our other locations.   Installment plans are available.

Behind-the-Wheel Course:

 

This course includes 12 hours of in-car instruction, using our driver training vehicles.  Students will drive for 6 hours and observe another student driver for 6 hours.

 

Cost:

 

Total cost for the Behind-the-Wheel Course is $295.00 for students who take the course in Lodi, and $325.00 for students who take the course at all of our our locations.  Installment plans are available.

Private Driving Lessons:

 

Private Driving Lessons are available to persons of all ages and skill levels, and offer the ultimate in flexibility.  We can structure these lessons to include as few or as many hours as you would like, with no minimum number of hours required.  The type of driving environment and what skills are practiced is up to the student.

 

Cost:

 

Private Driving Lessons are $50.00 per hour at any of our locations.  We do not charge for the travel time that it takes for us to get to you, so you only pay for the time you are driving the training vehicle.  Private lessons are also available at other locations, including those where our regular courses are not offered.  Simply contact us to discuss the possibilities!
