Kyle Kearney is employed as a Police Officer for the City of Columbus. He also served as a Deputy Sheriff in Sheboygan and Columbia County, and has more than 19 years of law enforcement experience. His work experience includes assignments as a Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, Patrol Sergeant, SWAT Team Member and Training Instructor.
Kyle has received a significant amount of specialized training in traffic law enforcement and traffic crash investigation. He completed four Instructor Certification Courses and received advanced, high-speed driver training at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.




Kyle's teaching experience includes working with elementary students while teaching drug and alcohol prevention classes, and with adult students while teaching a variety of law enforcement training courses. He was Certified as an Instructor in Occupant Protection-Usage and Enforcement, a Law Enforcement Course designed to educate Police Officers about vehicle crash dynamics and how seat belts, child restraints and air bags work to reduce the likelihood of injuries and deaths car crashes.
Kyle has worked as a Call-Staff Instructor in the Wisconsin Technical College System and began working as a Licensed Driving Instructor in 1996 at Lakeshore Driving School in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. He opened Scenic Valley Driving School in 1999.
Kyle and his wife reside in Lodi and have four children.
Brian DeGroff
Behind-the-Wheel Instructor
Brian DeGroff joined our staff as a Licensed Driving Instructor in 2002, after completion of Scenic Valley Driving School's Instructor Training Course. Brian works with students during the Behind-the-Wheel portion of the course, assisting them in learning the proper physical driving skills they need to pass the skills test and the defensive attitude necessary to become a safe driver.
Brian and his wife reside in Lodi and have two children.
Terry Seely
Classroom and Behind-the-Wheel Instructor
Terry Seely joined our staff as a Licensed Driving Instructor in 2005, after completion of Scenic Valley Driving School's Instructor Training Course. He is employed as a Lieutenant & K9 Handler with the Columbus Police Department and has more than 18 years of Law Enforcement experience.
During his career, Terry has served as a Deputy Sheriff, Patrol Sergeant, Patrol Lieutenant, K-9 Handler and SWAT Team Member. He has also received a significant amount of specialized training, including courses in traffic crash investigation and OWI Enforcement. He previously worked as a Licensed Driving Instructor at 4 Lakes Driving School in Madison, Wisconsin.
Terry resides in Portage with his son Austin.
Terry Loos
Classroom and Behind-the-Wheel Instructor
Terry Loos joined our staff as a Licensed Driving Instructor in 2005, after completion of Scenic Valley Driving School's Instructor Training Course. He is employed as a Police Officer for the City of Madison and has more than 16 years of Law Enforcement experience.
During his Law Enforcement Career Terry has served as a County Deputy Sheriff, Patrol Sergeant, K-9 Handler and member of the SWAT Team. He has attended numerous specialized training courses, including the Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command. Despite his advanced training, Terry has spent the majority of his career on midnight shift, where a large share of his time has been spent responding to traffic crashes and trying to keep our roads safer by enforcing traffic laws and taking impaired drivers off the road.
Terry and his wife reside in Sun Prairie and have two children.
Dennis Chadwick
We are excited to announce the addition of Dennis Chadwick to our staff. Dennis retired after a long career as a Deputy Sheriff with the Dane County Sheriff's Department. He will begin his teaching duties with us in May, 2010.
